Setting up FreePPP for Macintosh

Step One:

Open the Free PPP application by selecting the small telephone icon located in your Control Panel or by selecting it from the upper right hand corner of your 

desktop.

You should see the following window:

Step Two:

Select the Connect to icon and then choose New Account from the drop-down menu.

Step Three:

The Connect method should be set to Directly.
  1. The User Name is the login name that you requested from us when you signed up for internet access.
  2. The Password is the set of characters you chose to be your secret 'code' for when you log on - once again, the password you requested when you signed up
Once you have entered in the username and password, select the Dialup tab.

Enter the Phone number given to you for your local prefix.

Once you have entered in the Dialup information, select the Options tab and enter the DNS information.

Primary-12.40.132.135 and Secondary-12.40.132.137

 

Setting up the Modem information:

The Modem config name can be anything you want.

The Connected to should read Modem Port.

The Port Speed should be set to the speed that is 1 higher than your regular modem speed.

Flow Control should be set to CTS & RTS (DTR)

Dial Type should be set to your service (Tone or Pulse) - if you need help distinguishing which, let us know.

Set the rest of the options similar to the above image.

Set the Modem init string to Auto Detect Location Configuration
