FOR FTP ACCESS - USING THE FTP
On this page, you will find detailed instructions on how to use WS_FTP LE
First, you must obtain an ftp username and password from us.
Your web address will be www.torchlake.com/(your username)
Step One -

-Click on START, go to PROGRAMS then find the directory that you installed your WS_FTP LE program into. (If default, it will be WS_FTP) Once inside this directory, find the WS_FTP95 LE shortcut and LEFT CLICK on it ONCE. When the program loads, it will give you a window that looks similar to this.
Step Two -

-We want to click on the button that says "NEW" on the top right of the window that is open. When you hit "NEW" it will bring a window up that looks like this. You will then go to STEP THREE and fill out the needed information.
Step Three -

-Since you already called and set up an FTP username and password with us, you will set the "Profile Name:" to "Chain O' Lakes Internet." We will then proceed to the "Host Name/Address:" field and type in (all lowercase) "ftp.torchlake.com" After you have that done, proceed to the "Host Type:" field and leave it at "Automatic detect." In the "User ID:" field, you will place your username in the field, and in the "Password:" field you will place your password.
Step Four -

-Once you have the information from STEP THREE filled out, you will hit "Ok" and proceed to log on to your FTP site. It will prompt you with another "Password" window (such as above) and you will type in your password into the blank, then hit "Ok."
Step Five -

-Once you have typed in your password, from STEP FIVE it will bring you to the newly created FTP listing. On the RIGHT side, it shows the file structure for the FTP site. On the LEFT side, it shows the current directory structure for YOUR computer. The file-transfer is VERY easy - for example, I am going to transfer the file "pic6.bmp" from MY home computer, to my FTP site at torchlake. I would left-click on the file ONCE, so it is highlighted, then left-click and hold down the mouse button on the ICON for the file, then drag the file to the FTP site and let go of the left mouse button.
Step Seven -

-As you can see, since I dragged the file from MY directory to the FTP directory. It sends an EXACT copy of the file to the FTP site, and its as easy at that.
Once again, if you have any problems with installation (or if you need to uninstall the program) or running the program, contact Joe or Don at 331-4622, or send us an email at support@torchlake.com
