FOR FTP ACCESS - SETTING UP

First, you must obtain an ftp username and password from us.

Your web address will be www.torchlake.com/(your username)

We recommend using WS_FTP LE (WS_F-ile T-ranfer P-rotocal Light) - if you follow these directions, it is a freeware program that you can use for easy FTP access.

Step One - DOWNLOAD the WS_FTP LE program HERE, from our FTP site.  Upon completion of the download, double-click the icon to launch the installer.

Step Two - After you double-click on the installer, you will be prompted with a screen that looks similar to this:

Choose "Install WS_FTP LE" and click the "Continue" button on the bottom of the menu.

Step Three - 

-The WS_FTP LE installation will prompt you to select which category you fit into, simply choose the area that best fits your needs and hit "Next."

Step Four - 

-Since we are going to be using this program from our home, make sure the "At home" box is properly checked, and hit "Next."

Step Five - 

-Read through the WS_FTP LE End User License Agreement, and select as you choose (Agreeing or Disagreeing) and hit the corresponding button.

Step Six - 

-You will be prompted with the choice of "Destination Folder," (I.e- Where you want the files to be installed at) - generally we will leave it default.  Once you have entered in your choice, click "Ok."

Step Seven - 

-It now briefs you upon where you would like the transferred files to be sent, when you FTP them to your computer - Again, please choose which folder suites you best, or leave it as default.  When finished, click "Ok."

Step Eight - 

-The installer would now like to know what folder-name you would like the program to be installed into, on your START > PROGRAMS Menu.  Select the name that you would like, when you have made your selection, click "Ok."

Step Nine - 

-Once you have directed the installer where you would like your files to be places, it will begin to install the program into its folder and it will look similar to this picture.

Step Ten - 

-Once the program has finished installing all of its components, you will receive a message like the above, and you are ready to begin your FTP'ing adventure!

Alta Vista adds links fast, but it may take up to 2 or 3 weeks for it to
appear on other engines.
