Dialup Networking Installation for Use with Internet
1) Close all windows, go back to your start screen or the desktop
2) Click on Start then Settings then Control panel
3) Double Click on "Add & Remove Programs", click on the windows setup tab
4) double Click on Communications
5) check Dialup Networking and then click OK
6) Click OK again and the computer will start installing files. (it may ask for the windows 95 CD or disks, if so insert the CD or disks in and click OK)
7) Click OK again, and you should be back to the Control Panel
8) Double Click on the Network Icon.
9) Highlight: "Client for Microsoft networks"
and click remove
Highlight: "Client for Netware networks" and click remove
Highlight: "IPX/SPX compatible Protocol" and click remove
Highlight: "NetBEUI" and click remove
All that should be left is "Dialup Adapter"
10) Click on Add
11) Click on protocol and then Add
12) Go down to Microsoft on the manufactors side (left side) and click on it.
13) On the right side click on TCP/IP and then OK
14) You should have Dialup Adapter and TCP/IP in the configuration box now.
15) Click OK and the computer will start copying file again, when it is done click on "Yes" you want to restart your computer.
16) Once the computer restarts start over with the Windows 95 directions here.
