Parish Choir
We are fortunate to have Sister
Joelle Mauer, SCSC, as the choir director. Not only do we have a strong
adult choir, but Sister also works with instrumentalists in order to enhance our
worship services. The choir meets every Tuesday evening at 7 o'clock for
practice and sings at the 11 o'clock mass every Sunday morning.

Peg Coucke is offering a Bible lesson on the second Thursday of each month. People who would like to have a more regular Bible Study can contact Sister Celine for a weekday small group study. During Lent we will have a study group to use the readings of each Sunday. Put this on your personal calendars and watch the bulletin for time and place.
Pick up your Bible and read and
reflect each day. The Living Faith booklets will give you the
readings of each day's Mass. Use these passages for daily meditation.

The dream of a peace garden was born from the Pax Christi Commission. Two men in the parish, Virgil Mull and Amedeo Castiglione, built the pergola with two wonderful benches attached, so that people can come and sit by the peace pole and statue of St. Francis for quiet reflection. Over the years, several parishioners have planted flowers in the garden. We also encourage people to buy peace bricks in memory or in honor of loved ones. These bricks are placed on the floor of the pergola and people are remembered when we have prayer services in the garden. During the summer months, we gather to pray as a community at least once a month. The garden is open to anyone of any denomination.
On September 11, 2001, we had a prayer vigil in the garden with over 100 persons in attendance. It's a piece of "holy ground", to gather and pray for the needs of our broken world.
