BETWEEN THE FENCES is the an insider's view of the tyranny and corruption rampant throughout one of the U.S. Immigration & Naturalization Service Detention Camps in Bayview, Texas. No "Whistleblower's Act" exists inside a detention camp to protect those who speak out. The camp is a shrouded empire run by a handful of men who involve enough people in unspeakable activities to weave a protective web of conspiracy around them to protect their inhumane treatment of detainees and their ring of illegal drug activity. Few officers attempt to right the injustices taking place between the fences. Tony Hefner broke the silence and risked his career and life to save those he had taken an oath to protect.
