Adware SE Installation Directions

This process is for informational purposes only to help customers fix problems with Spyware. If it does cause harm to your computer, we are not to be held responsible.

1) Open Internet Explorer or your browser and open this URL: http://www.download.com/3000-2144-10045910.html

2) Click on the Download Now Button

3) Click on Run

4) Wait until the download completes.

5) If this warning comes up, Click on Run

6) Click on Next on this screen

7) Put a Check in 'I accept the license agreement' and then click on Next

8) If this screen comes up, put a dot on'Yes, uninstall previous version of Ad-Aware', then click on Next

9) Click on Next

10) Uncheck 'Open the help file now', then click on Finish

11) The update process should now start

12) Now the Scanning for Adware Programs should start. Wait for this process to finish. (This may take some time)

13) After the Scanning is complete, the screen will show all the spyware program/files that have been found on your computer.

14) Right Mouse Click* on one of the check boxes then click on 'Select all objects'. Now all the checkboxes should be checked.
*(Right mouse Click is your other mouse button)

15) Click on Next

16) The Quarantining Process will now start.

17) Once Finished a Status Screen such as this should appear

Your computer should now be cleaned of all known spyware. Close the program to Finish.
In some cases, the adware program may have you reboot your computer and scan again. This is because some spyware programs cannot be removed because they are running. Rebooting the computer will let Adware SE, remove them while the spyware programs are not running. If this happens follow the onscreen directions.
