· What's in a Name?

· Open a new word document, put your name on it and then a title called 28 States with Native American Origins. Save it immediately with the title “28 States”.

· Go to the website 50states.com to see a list of all 50 states.

· Copy the list into your word document.

· One at a time click on each state name. Arrow down each page to find “ORIGIN OF STATE’S NAME”.

· If the name comes from a Native American origin write the origin on your list next to the state name.

· You will find that 28 states come from Native American names.

· When you have found all 28 print your list.
